Abstract<\/strong>The object of this study is temporal expressions represented by Chinese multi-component lexical units and German composites. The subject is the possibility of expressing temporal semantics using Chinese multi-component lexical units and German composites. The theoretical novelty of this work is explained by the fact that such a comparison and analysis of temporal semantics in the context of Chinese and German languages have not been conducted previously. This article examines the distinction between the concepts of multi-component lexical unit and composite, explores various scholarly approaches to their study, and highlights how they differ from other linguistic units in both languages. The lists of 100 multi-component lexical Chinese units and German composites were selected; an analysis was conducted based on a number of parameters, and the identified features and characteristics are presented in the comparative table.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
