Abstract.<\/em><\/strong> The article examines some prepositions of Chinese language as the most important component of the system of function words, pointing out differences in the understanding and functionality of prepositions in the Russian and Chinese languages. Examples of the use of prepositions are provided to demonstrate subject-object, time, local and other relations. The author illustrates the main traditional syntactic positions and semantics of prepositions with examples.<\/p>\n

The significance of this work lies in the fact that the author reveals and focuses on the existence of other syntactic positions of prepositions that differ from the classical scheme due to various circumstances and are, therefore, often ignored in the educational process. The meaning of prepositions, their semantic orientation may also be non-obvious and indicate some implicit, but important, nuances. Using numerous examples, the author illustrates the non-obvious syntactic and lexical-semantic features of Chinese prepositions, the study of which is of particular importance during the educational process.<\/p>\n
